Last Thursday was such a terrific day. It started out lazily cause Steve's now on holidays from College (having handed in his major essay on Wednesday- yay!). At 10ish, Bron, Harry, Anna, Katy & Olly WIlson came for morning tea because they were in Sydney for a holiday. As always it was such a wonderful time as Bron, Steve and I caught up with all the goings-on in both our families', interspersed with all the adorable children's interruptions- 'Jane, yesterday we went to the markets, and...and...and...and'; Steve, Archie just pulled a funny face at me. It went like this..." Oh how we love seeing the Wilson's! We miss them greatly.

So after Archie went to bed for the afternoon, Steve and I took the train into the city where we caught a ferry to Manly, bought a drink and enjoyed sitting on the beach chatting.

After catching the ferry back to the city we set about finding somewhere to eat dinner using the Good Food Guide Mike and Kara gave us for Christmas. We were going to go to Bills, but a quick check online proved a bit expensive so we set our hearts on a great sounding French restaurant that was more in our price range. When we got there it had closed down, and so after wandering around for a few streets we stumbled across this amazing Athenian place. The atmosphere looked lovely and the prices were so, so reasonable. More importantly, the food was nothing short of amazing. There were slow cooked pieces of lamb, roasted root vegetables, stuffed capsicums, stuffed cabbage leaf rolls, cannelini beans and more. We vowed we would definitely go back!
Here's what Steve had:

And I had the 'Athenian Special' (a bit of everything!)

Miss you too!

That does sound fun! Keep the food shots coming.
Hi beautiful Jane,
Yummo! I can't believe Archie has grown up so much. These are the first photos I've seen since you guys moved. It makes me miss you even more!
We got back last Monday night - had a great time. This married thing takes a bit of getting used to, but heaps of fun! I am so blessed.
Lots of love
Hey Lis!
So glad you and Dave had a great time away. It certainly does take a while to get used to it. I remember not sleeping very well for the first 6 months because having someone in bed with you is so weird when you first get married. Even now, I still prefer sleeping on my own (not that we do!).
That sounds like such a lovely day!
